Your donations make a difference! The funds donated by community members like you allow us to continue our child abuse prevention and treatment services. Here are just a few examples of the amazing services your donations provide.

$10 Gift

This gift can help cover a week of breakfasts and lunches for a child enrolled in SCAN’s Circle Preschool.

$25 Gift

This gift can provide a week of transportation for two Family Support Program groups, thereby making it

possible for clients who would otherwise be unable to do so to attend treatment and education groups.

$50 Gift

This gift can train one CASA volunteer. CASA volunteers attend 35 hours of intensive training and court observation to advocate for children in the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court System.

$100 Gift

This gift can educate five caregivers using the revolutionary Stewards of Children training in the hope that they can help prevent child sexual abuse in our community.

$250 Gift

This gift can supply a month’s worth of snacks for 25 children enrolled in SCAN’s Family Support Program’s children’s groups.

$500 Gift

This gift can furnish occupational therapy services for 8 children in our Circle Preschool program. The Circle Preschool serves children whose significant social and emotional difficulties stemming from trauma make it impossible to thrive in a traditional pre-school environment.

$1000 Gift

This gift can deliver 15 hours of intensive individual counseling for child victims of severe physical or sexual abuse.

Giving Through United Way
When you join a United Way campaign, you have the opportunity to choose how your contribution is spent— you can have your gift distributed for you or you can give your gift to a specific organization. SCAN is eligible to receive donor designations through the United Way campaigns. Our campaign codes are as follows:

When you make a donation online or mail in your donation, consider making the donation in honor of someone you love for a birthday, anniversary, a milestone or in their memory. Include the person’s name and address or the name and address of a family member, and we will send them a greeting card letting them know you wanted to make a difference in celebration of them!
