CAC Trauma-Focused Treatment (TFT) Senior Clinician
General Description:
The Trauma-Focused Treatment (TFT) Senior Clinician position includes a combination of clinical and administrative responsibilities. The TFT Senior Clinician will provide crisis intervention counseling, assessments, ongoing direct therapy services to child victims and non-offending family members, consultation with CAC Staff, Multidisciplinary Team Partners and community partners, oversee case referrals, maintain referral directory of qualified trauma-focused treatment providers, completing necessary clinical and administrative records, oversight of billing for clinical services, assisting in program evaluation and completion of reports pertaining to TFT Services.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in social work or psychology and licensed (LCSW/LPC). Experience working with victims of child abuse and neglect, especially sexual abuse and children with problem sexual behaviors. Training and experience with evidence based/informed treatment models. Experience with children of all ages & family systems. Understanding of multiculturalism and knowledge of community resources available to child victims and their families.
Major Responsibilities (40 hours per week):
- Provide crisis intervention counseling, conduct intake assessment interviews and provide direct outpatient therapy to children and non-offending family members to attain stated goals and objectives;
- Oversee case referrals, intake process and case assignment for all clients who receive CAC TFT Services;
- Supervise CAC TFT Services clinicians and graduate interns;
- Assist with program development and evaluation, including reimbursement system, scheduling system, record keeping system and tracking statistical information;
- Provide consultations, reports, and clinical assessments as requested by collateral agencies;
- Provide consultation with CAC Forensic Services Staff, Multidisciplinary Team Partners and community partners regarding presenting clinical issues;
- Serve as member of multi-disciplinary team, providing relevant information and therapeutically supporting victims when other team members during various phases of the case progression (e.g., conducting investigation, assisting with court preparation, and preparing for prosecution);
- Ensure adherence to the National Children’s Alliance (NCA) Mental Health standard of practice (including training requirements for all TFT providers at the CAC and on the referral directory); and
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Salary & Benefits:
- $77,000 – $80,000 per year

Family Support Program Therapist
General Description
The Family Support Program (FSP) Therapist is responsible for providing trauma-informed therapy services to parents and caregivers. These services include clinical assessment, treatment planning, and individual psychotherapy. The therapist will work collaboratively within a team-based model, coordinate care with community partners, and provide case management to ensure families receive comprehensive support.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology or other related field required. Consideration will be given to Residents in Counseling or Supervisees in Social Work with appropriate experience, Licensure as an LCSW or LPC is preferred. Experience working with adults who have experienced trauma is required. Understanding of trauma-informed care, multiculturalism, family systems and knowledge of community resources are preferred.
Major Responsibilities
- Conduct intake sessions with parents and caregivers, utilizing trauma-informed assessment tools to identify symptoms, coping strategies, protective factors, and preliminary DSM-5 diagnoses.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, highlighting strengths, challenges, and treatment goals.
- Provide outpatient psychotherapy for parents and caregivers using evidence-informed approaches (e.g., Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, Trauma-Focused interventions) to address trauma, anxiety, depression, and parenting challenges.
- Offer trauma-informed crisis intervention to support parents and caregivers experiencing acute stress related to trauma or caregiving responsibilities.
- Provide case management services including: maintaining clinical records, coordinating care with other professionals, and referring families to community resources when needed.
- Collaborate with program staff and community partners to ensure a holistic approach to supporting parents and caregivers.
- Participate in ongoing research, training, and implementation of best practices for working with adults impacted by trauma.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Family Support Program Parent Group Facilitator
Job Description
The mission of Greater Richmond SCAN is to prevent child abuse and neglect. The Parent Group Facilitator is responsible for leading a weekly, intensive treatment parenting education group at Greater Richmond SCAN. Other duties include assessing client’s needs; providing case management and service referrals; maintaining client records, as well as additional required paperwork; collaborating with children’s group facilitator regarding family needs; participating in quarterly staff meetings, monthly peer supervision; developing and maintaining relationships with human service providers in the community; and maintaining contact with supervisor regarding group and client needs.
Qualifications
This position requires: (1) a minimum of a Master’s degree in social work or other related human service field; (2) existing knowledge of child abuse and neglect issues; (3) prior experience with providing parent support/education in a group setting; (4) strong/developed clinical skills; counseling experience; (5) excellent verbal and written communication skills; (6) experience working with diverse populations and cultural competency; and (7) program documentation and evaluation skills.
Position: This is a part-time position facilitating a virtual parenting group (3–5 hours per week), with opportunities to assist with conducting parenting group intakes as needed.
Salary: $30 – $32 per hour
